I was a bit surprised at the move the raptors made... but the surprise is a pleasant one.

I remember the Carter trade, and how we got very little at all in Raptor land. One big peice of the trade not even wanting to show up (shouldn't be allowed to do that without lengthy suspension by the league).

In this move, TJ Ford goes to Indiana.

It seems as though TJ was gonna be moved. So that didn't give that much of a surprise. Nesterovich also goes the other way as well as the 17th pick.

Coming to Raptor land is Jermaine O'Neal.

It seems as though O'Neal has been in the league forever... and he's still only 29. He came into the nba straight from high school with the Trail Blazers.

O'Neal is a guy who when healthy can give double double numbers. Last season was plagued by injury for O'Neal. I think that this year, he'll definately be motivated. Playing along side Bosh and being on the receiving end of Calderon's passes.

If O'Neal is healthy, the Bosh / O'Neal combo up front could be a very lethal one for the raps.

I like this move. There's a little risk, just for the fact that O'Neal has had some injuries of late... but in the player who went the other way (TJ Ford) were also injuries.
